CDoupbles :: ˈla-tə-ˌtüd :: Geographical fragmentation of attitude

ˈla-tə-ˌtüd

Veronika Tzekova, CDoupbles, 2013 - ongoing

(Geographical fragmentation of attitude)

Spoken or transcribed phonetically, the ˈa-tə-ˌtüd, the settled way of thinking or feeling about something, appears embedded in the ˈla-tə-ˌtüd, the angular distance of a place north or south of the earth's equator (usually expressed in degrees and minutes) or the scope for freedom of action or thought.

pREISE & game epiphanies in o tigre de Lisboa: #8: Adults at wordplay: a CDoupble sequel

Kunstlerin und Kulturvermittler. Coast-path. Praia do poça. Estoril. Portugal. Early evening. High tide. October. With the power of repetition, seeing and reading written text had become a value adding and meaning expanding act, creative dyslexia and associative reading, a lasting force to read and misread compulsively and insatiably anything written and signs of all kind.
Attracted to an info-board on the coast-path, the artist was discouraged instantaneously to proceed with the intention to read it: “Es ist Arthrose, nicht Art Rose.”, the Kulturvermittler said.
On the top of the info-board stayed ARTROSE (arthrosis in Portuguese).

pREISE & game epiphanies in o tigre de Lisboa: #4: life in patterns. A souvenir.

A souvenir from Casino Estoril (the biggest in Europe). Impressive but not inspiring place to play. Apart of the masses of slot machines and eating people, each of the roulette table had its own jettons. Both I found inelegant and discouraging the swingy mood, which is a must for me, when gambling.

Apart for its original purpose, about which I did not inform myself, the sheet can be used for a CHAlleNGE to play IrregularTic-tac-toe and One-row Tic-tac-toe

In the big picture- multiplying multiplied patterns
Grids
Grids within grids within grids
Regulations and repetitions
The power of repetition
System(s)
The small ones are more than the big ones
There would be no big ones without the small ones
The small ones vary, the big ones not
We do not see the end of both
But somehow we know it is there
From a distance only the big ones are to distinguish
The smallest we do not see
Multiple possibilities to play
No one plays
Did anybody else imagined to play on this abundance of grids

pREISE & game epiphanies in o tigre de Lisboa: #2: life in patterns

Patterns recognition is said to happen automatically and spontaneously.

Sometimes I just register patterns (as in the pips patterns post) and enjoy the uncertainty of speculations, questions unanswered, stories behind, reasons for the coincidences ...

The patterns of lines that cross each other to form squares, the grids, are the ones I appropriated the most (Space Appropriators and the CHAlleNGED Tic-tac-toes series). When not appropriating, I indulge myself, automatically and spontaneously, with the hidden pleasure of a human being, with insufficient capacities, to imagine CHAlleNGING my own limits and defying normality, regulations, laws of physics and powers of nature playing on grids, of all sizes, locations and orientations. The kick out of letting the image of what, how and with whom can be played linger.

Prior the pREISE I placed a mark ”Punkt XOX” on Lisboa 2014, our places-to-visit map.
